Hello, In this edition I would like to share a Notion database I created for podcasters to keep track of their episodes and guests.
Tool or Resource of the Week
Notion is not for everyone, it takes a while to get used to but once you’ve learned enough it becomes the benchmark that every other alternative has to live up to. I’ve been using Notion to keep track of the episodes I edit every day since I started my business, It’s helped me keep me organised for over 1400 brilliant episodes.
I’ve created a combined page with two linked databases, one for episodes and another for guests. The episode tracker will allow you to track the progress of an episode, set publishing dates, link files and add notes. The guest tracker will allow you to monitor the progress of inviting guests, the recording date and meeting link. You will then be able to assign a guest to the episode with one click.
To get started, click the link here which will open the database. For the best experience with this database, I recommend downloading the Notion desktop app and creating an account. Once set up, you can return to the linked page and click the “Duplicate” button at the top right to add it to your own Notion account. Refer to the image below for guidance. You can then tailor it to suit your specific needs and delete my instructions.

Behind The Scenes
Last week I competed in the last freeride skiing competition of the year here in Scotland. It was great to see so many great people again. I’m helping the British Freeride junior programme with some filming and editing on the mountain so it was great to see them in action again. The scoring was hard to understand but I think I managed to hold the title. Below is a picture of the of me waiting to compete taken by Ben Girdwood.

At the end of the day most people will find that a simple Google Sheets document will work better for them, I sometimes find that as well. Here is a basic version that you can work with and adapt.
Feel free to reach out with any questions about this or anything else.
Thanks,
Fynn.
